I bought 100 shares of TWTR and immediately sold a Jan 2024 $52.50 leap against it. Now, the deal has been finalized, I wonder should I close my position now.
TWTR is now hovering around $52, and my leap still have some time value left. I am not sure whether I should close my position, or just hold them till the deal is closed. The profit difference is around $1000 between closing position now, and closing after the deal is closed (earn $1000 more).
By the way, isn't it free money for selling strangles before upcoming earnings?
