I have a number of stocks (with enough shares to be in multiples of 100) that have taken a big hit with this current market. They are all long term holds for me but i cant stand just looking at them being in the red and doing nothing.
Is selling covered calls a good way to generate some cashflow during this crazy market? Ive never done it before and want to make sure I don't accidentally set myself up for “infinite losses” by selecting the wrong options. How do you determine what the premium price per share is? If the covered call expires 'worthless' i can resell the same call, right?
Using IBKR currently.
