Hey Guys,
So I need some advice. I'm currently pretty much equal weighted in MSFT, GOOGL, COST, UNH, and AMZN. I'm in these companies for the long term.
Lately, Im thinking that my weakest link is Googl:
1) It's the slowest growing of my holdings
2) I'd argue its facing the most competition (chat gpt, TikTok, antitrust legislative actions, etc.) (I think the moat is still pretty strong though)
3) Its biggest growth prospect (cloud) is lagging behind the two biggest competitors (MSFT, AMZN)
4) It has some moon shots but they're a while away from clear and observable monetization (waymo)
5) Since it is considered cyclical, Im anticipating further price decline.
So I was thinking about selling at a loss of $1,244 dollars and using the capital to invest in my other holdings OR open a new position in LMT. The thought of selling at a loss is difficult for me to grapple with but I believe some better opportunities are available. I would greatly appreciate your opinion.
