We all are seeing how battered the tech stocks are at the moment. And to be fair, they were overvalued by a LOT and still I feel there is room for more pain. Basically whatever boomed and hyped up during pandemic is slowing coming back to nominal levels. Since tech stocks are out of flavor now I think people would be hesitant to buy in the short term which may result in stagnating prices. In this case would this lead to a different sector doing well? Any indicators to identify sectors which are going to be doing well in next 3-5 years? Or should I just invest in dividend stocks and play it safe for next 3-5 years. This is only for my short term goals. For long term I am buying spy for a specified amount each month.
