SARK return 57% ytd?

I looked on Google at SARK and see that ytd it's had about a 57% return.

Does that mean if I had held it for that time frame id be up 57% or would you have to factor in return destruction since its a short product?

I mean is the 57% including the return degradation? Sorry I forgot the term for returns degrading with short etfs.
