First off, I am a complete amateur, which I why I only put $100 into an inverse oil ETF. Today, the etf disappears from my brokerage account. It looks like there was a reverse split. I'm not sure what that was but it appears my money (it went down to around $70) has disappeared. Any ideas what happened? Perhaps it was sold and converted to cash – I can't tell if it was or not but can look closer. Anyways, it seems strange to me that first the name of the etf changed to a very long name, and poof, disappeared. I don't remember the name of it originally, but as of today it is:
MCRSCTRS US BG OL IDXXXXREVERSESPLIT
It was only $100 that was a complete gamble, but it's strange it just disappeared and makes me cautious.
I'm sure someone here knows what's up and can let me know what's going on. Thanks.
