So Amazon and google are having a stock split. IN my case, I got a promotion on charles schwab for $20 fraction share of amazon and google. Now that amazon is splitting, (even though I know my value will remain the same) isn't it better to have 19 shares (fractional in my case) than just 1 amazon ( or any XYZ stock) value at $2,000? Because In my mind i'm thinking, percentage wise increase, it's better to have 19 shares that go up 30% than one share ( even if it's only fractional) that goes up 30%?
