So I posted this in r/daytrading and got crickets, hoping someone here can help.
During market hours you can quickly bail on a position with a market order. I am wondering what the best way to replicate this is during premarket or AH.
I would imagine it’s possible with hot keys, but if something was to suddenly start flushing your order could potentially not fill at the set limit if it really was dropping fast. For instance you try to bail at $5 and when your order hits the tape the stock is at $4.80 and you don’t get a fill, then it keeps dropping.
I know you can set a limit order below the bid or above the ask and it essentially acts as a market order. Can you set up a hot key to automatically do that?
