Question about Capital Gains Tax on small, short-term gains.

Hey, sorry in advance if this is a dumb question or inappropriate for this sub, but I just decided to start buying & selling stocks because of all the craziness that's been happening in the past few days and I'm still trying to learn as much as possible.

In regards to the capital gains tax, I have to pay it regardless of how little I make off an investment correct? I.E, if I bought a bit of stock then sold it a week later and made $2.00, I'd have to pay 12% ($0.24) towards taxes yeah? And that capital gains tax would be filed along with my regular income taxes correct?
