Profile allocation when young

Hey guys,

I plan to have around 75-80% of my portfolio in a broad market etf.
The rest in single stocks.

Why since stocks? Because I hope that I can beat the market and because it is fun etc.

So I assume, that my single stock picks will return more yield. Of course they inherit a greater risk.

I know this might be a dumb question but:

Is it a good idea to buy single stock picks now and dca in the ETF over Time but until then my allocation will look like 50/50% instead of 75-80% Etf and rest single stocks?

I ask since I am still young and have lots of time for investing in the ETFs but I also have some kind of FOMO regarding the single stocks.

Sorry again for this dumb question I’m really looking forward to this confirmation bias.
