Hi, first a little bit of history.
Not so long ago, almost every house in some parts of the world had some kind of pests, specially bed bugs, even hospitals had them, because it was really really difficult to get rid of them. This little bugs can stay for a year without feeding, they are very small and like to hide deep in every corner, they are very resistant to pesticides, they reproduce a lot and they can get carried in clothes etc. Bed bugs were so common, that all beds were built thinking on them.
For those who don't know it, around the 50s the DDT, a very potent pesticide, was invented. It was very good killing insects. Unfortunately, it was very good killing humans and basically everything in the long run, so it was forbidden, but in the meantime, almost every house got rid of bedbugs and other pests to a point never had in history.
But now they are returning. And getting rid of them is really expensive and difficult. It's not only bedbugs, for example, velutines are eating bees in every place… More people, more contacts, a warmer world, is making some pests inevitably rise.
What pest companies with a stock do you know? Rentokil for example is increasing benefits, is orkin publicly traded? Ecolab is also a company earnig more…
