People who didnt sell end 2021 early ’22. What made you hold? What did you expect from the investing landscape 2022/23. What went good/wrong

Honest question, since i want to learn what i did correct / wrong and how other people perceived the upcoming year.

What made you hold on to your stocks etc. and not sell? So much information was coming in with huge red flags that pretty much market a shifting landscape. Especially since the graphs were parabolic to the upside almost. (Thats how i saw it at least)

*Inflation spiking

*FED announcements they will clamp down

*Russia rumblings

The real kicker for me was the news reporting Russia setting up makeshift hospitals for real and stocking them up with real bloodbags etc.

Was it a lack of information at that time or just another mindset (Long term hold / dca). To me it seems very self destructive to hold through a market crash since you will lose so much investing years (% gain wise). If you now end with 20 million at age 60 you could have ended up with 26/30 million. And those last compounding percentages count the hardest.

What made you hold and why?
