Order does not go through even though marlet price has dipped below my limit price?

Hi Guys

Can anyone explain what this means.

I put in a limit price order to buy a stock. The yahoo app and stock exchange shows the price dipped below my limit price to buy.

Yet my order was not fulfilled.

The broker said “the spread does get quite wide and so the customer is probably seeing orders going through at prices lower than the limit. but this would not trigger the trade for execution”.

It sounds like they are saying people are selling and buying at below my buying price and yet mine isn't being triggered.

Why is that?
