Has anyone else noticed that IBKR limit orders will fill even if your order is significantly lower than the mid/ ask and if you do pick mid, many times it will fill your order quite a bit lower?
It’s like they try to get you the best price they can, sometimes .20/.30/.40 cents lower.
When I make a limit mid price while buying on webull, it almost always fills at the exact number. If I put it ask or under it never fills unless the underlying moves significantly in the opposite direction.
I noticed this was horrible trading crypto on webull about a year ago. You could put a limit order in above current price and it would never fill and if you did market order, it would give you the absolute worst price possible, sometimes higher than it was trading or had traded that day.
I knew it was a problem with crypto but didn’t realize it was the same thing until I began trading on my IBKR.
I’ve been charting and trading exclusively on IBKR for about a year now but use my webull for options due to the simplicity of the platform but after trading options on my IBKR this week, I don’t think I’m going to use webull at all anymore except for the rare occasion that I have to use my mobile.
