So my dad found a 1929 paper stock certificate that was left to him in a box of stuff from my great grandfather, it has my great grandfathers uncle's name on it for a fairly large company. The 2 problems that I need help with, that I'm seeing and I'm sure there are some I'm not are
A. If it's even possible to cash this out with the name not being a direct family member (married to my great grandfathers aunt).
B. If chat GPT is correct about past splits, the 100 shares on the certificate from 1929 are over market cap now.
I've dabbled on schwab and have made some decent trades, but this is WAY out of my wheel base.
