I'm hearing conflicting things about whether it would be better to buy before or after the split happens. Some say it would be better afterward, as you don't have the initial hit of the stock dropping in value and you get a better gain that way, and others say it's better to buy beforehand and just ride the drop out for a year until it corrects. There's also the issue of the company's production of its' superchip at the later part of the year, which there's been rumblings that it will send the stock even higher and nullify the loss a before-split purchaser suffers. Anybody care to chime in, esp. those that work in finance?
