Need advice – What is the better option for long term growth.

Right now after looking into it i am thinking of 2 options either putting it into a S&P 500 index fund or a Dividend portfolio.

Both adding money every month and reinvesting the yearly profits and with dividends reinvesting the dividend payout.

Would like to hear your toughts and why one is better then the other.
