Morpher (MPH) is launching a project that will let you support Ukraine by trading virtual copies of Russian stocks.

I work at Morpher Labs and we’ve been putting virtual copies of stocks on the blockchain since 2018. Profits and losses are dependent on the price action of the market you are trading. On Morpher, you can open positions on stocks, cryptos, indices, and commodities.

At Morpher, we give access to stocks, forex, indices, and commodities to people that do not have access to it; in an attempt to democratize global access to markets. Due to the ongoing events in Ukraine, access to Russian stocks has been restricted.

Since we have a team composed of both Russians and Ukrainians, we decided to create this side project to both help Ukrainians and raise awareness of how Russians are suffering from sanctions.

Morpher Arena will use blockchain technology to let investors trade virtual copies of sanctioned Russian stocks. All profits generated by the platform will be donated to organizations supporting Ukrainian refugees.

Russian companies, shareholders, and oligarchs will not profit from the trading, because users won’t trade real Russian stocks, just virtual copies of them powered by the Morpher Protocol.
At the same time, Morpher Arena will also allow Russian investors to bet against (short) Russian stocks, something they currently cannot do on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

Please feel free to give us some feedback on the idea. We would love to know what you think.
