meme stock buying

I have been buying stocks since the pandemic. It is all new to me and it seemed like a good way to invest a little money. I am very small time but was doing well at first. Then I got interested in amc. I kept buying a few and got involved in the amc chat communities and bought into the whole buy and hold mentality of the apes. I now have 600 shares and I'm in the red about 5000. I was averageing down but I stopped doing that cause it just kept falling in price. Should I keep holding and just wait it out or take a big loss. I no longer buy
