Math help with investing

Although fairly handsome I'm also extremely stupid, and need some help with basic math.

I'm also boring, and the only investments I make are in one index fund, and am just DCA-ing into it whenever I can. I get pissed off when I see my average unit price is much higher than the NAV, so as you can imagine I've basically been pissed off for 5 months. I want to know how I can figure out how much cash I need to invest to bring my average unit price down to a certain amount that would make me slightly less pissed off.

So, say the total amount of money I have invested in an index fund is T, and the average unit price for that total amount is A. If want to bring A down to some lower number (say L), can you give me a delicious formula that will tells me how to turn A into L?
