Market cap weighted commodity index ETF?

Is there some sort of market cap weighted commodity index? For example, it owns market cap weighted index that tracks energy, metal, agriculture, livestock all weighted by market cap?

Is there even a way to market cap weight commodities? What would the underlying of this ETF be for the exposure, futures long/short positions? Are these positions safe? It would seem they may suffer from the “paper gold” issue.

I'm not entirely sure this is the right question to ask, I'm not sure I want to expose myself to commodity risk when already holding companies that are exposed to those risks. Is being long commodities just being long inflation of the quoted currency?

Can commodity exposure serve as a more liquid I bond with added risk of the commodity's usefulness changing?

I feel like commodities represent “hard money” in a way and have a thesis that the world will continue to shift to harder money (have you even read Ray Dalio's book yet bro?), or maybe they won't but it will be a hedge sized position anyway.

I am likely late to this thesis (or maybe not), but regardless would like to get a better understanding for when I may need it.
