AlUla announced it received the first delivery of 30 electric cars produced by Lucid Motors on Nov. 14th as an agreement to supply the governorate with Lucid EVs aims to enhance sustainability, preserve the local environment, promote a green economy, and reduce carbon emissions.
Lucid opened the first car manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia on Sept. 30th as Lucid’s second Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP-2) and first international plant, the facility will produce Lucid’s electric vehicles for Saudi Arabia and export to other markets.
The Government of Saudi Arabia, under which the Government will purchase up to 100,000 vehicles over a ten-year period, with an initial commitment to purchase 50,000 vehicles and an option to purchase up to an additional 50,000 vehicles over the same period. This would help push up the future earnings significantly.
