Looking back at the last year, pretty much everything is up right now. Does this imply that stocks doing poorly now are unlikely to improve?

Overall, my portfolio has been looking great over the past year- but I still have a few stinkers. Some make sense to me, but others leave me thinking there's something else coming or something that I'm not understanding. A few examples-

UBER vs LYFT. I own both but kind of wishing I didn't. They've both been discussed a lot here and on other subs and I think a lot of the sentiment surrounding Lyft has to do with their own personal experience with Lyft and how it's either been slower or more expensive, etc. You obviously can't understate the importance that food delivery has had with Uber and that's something that Lyft didn't capitalize on. But still- I'm up +123% on Uber and down -24% on Lyft. Considering they essentially have the same business model, that's pretty insane. And considering how well Uber is doing, if Lyft can't do well now- can they ever? Should I just be hoping they get acquired?

Speaking of acquisition bait- I foolishly bought Bird (BRDS) a year ago and it's since down a whopping -91%. It's obviously not coming back up and they could get acquired but idk if it's worth holding out for. As much as I believe in scooters as a first/last mile option, it seems like between the local governments not supporting parking programs and people refusing to share space on the sidewalk- the shine has worn off and the startups have fizzled out. Again, if they can't do well now when everyone else is doing well- is it time to cut my losses?

Beyond Meat (BYND) is another one where I'm down -22% and just hoping that someone picks them up and bails me out. I still eat their products but I'm ready to admit that the stock isn't going anywhere.

Last one- CVS. Down -15% after trying to only buy at what I thought was going to be the all-time low (lol). What is happening? It's crazy to me. It's the one stock that I genuinely don't understand. I don't even know where to start or how to end.

I have quite a few more stinkers- TWOU (-57%), GAN (-56%), HBI (-42%), INND (-96%), OTLY (-56%), PTRAQ (-99%), and VFC (-55%). I'm sure each have their own story. I still like Oatly milk, Hanes socks, and Vans shoes, but none of the stocks are great. TWOU, GAN, and INND was me trying to be smart (I'm not). And what can you say about Proterra lol…

Tl;dr- my portfolio is up +18% despite having some serious stinkers. In this fair weather, is it fair to say that a stinker is gonna keep stinking? Is it time to flush or hold out for acquisitions?
