Hi, I believe commercial buildings and offices are the sunset industry, however with their long lease cycle, the decline may only happen in 6-9 years (e.g. 3+3+3 options). I have looked into inverse REIT ETFs (e.g. DRV), but is this something that I can hold long term 5-10 years? I remember reading inverse leveraged ETFs are only for short-term play and can become worthless in long term.
I want to avoid trading options, so what other ways can I “invest” in this sunset industry with a time horizon of 5-10 years? Thanks!
Okay, if option is the only option, which I have zero experience, what is the most simplistic foolproof way to trade? Buy puts? Options are only for up to a year right? I'm looking at 5-10 years of slow death.
