Hey Guys,
This morning I made a post about the NYSE ticker: HKD. I was confused how a „pump and dumb“ realizes a market cap of 150 billion.
Guess what happened the post got viral but unfortunately the mods removed the post.
So the definition of a pump and dumb:
„Pump-and-dump is a manipulative scheme that attempts to boost the price of a stock or security through fake recommendations. These recommendations are based on false, misleading, or greatly exaggerated statements. The perpetrators of a pump-and-dump scheme already have an established position in the company's stock and will sell their positions after the hype has led to a higher share price.“
Typical characteristics of a P&D:
-
Pump-and-dump is an illegal scheme to boost a stock's or security's price based on false, misleading, or greatly exaggerated statements.
-
Pump-and-dump schemes usually target micro- and small-cap stocks.

What about HKD:
• it increases tremendously since it’s ipo (since 14 days, that’s long for a quick p&d or?)
• No options available
• It’s not a short squeeze
• Low social media presence (that’s pretty uncommon for a p&d)
So how can the market cap be so high and still continue tremendously?
REMINDER: I don’t recommend investing in this Stock! Be careful!
