Say someone came into a somewhat large figure of cash, and didn't want to buy/manage individual stocks, would it be wise to simply long SPY or another sp500 etf if they're holding for at least 5 years?
I know the returns wouldn't be phenominal, however in this case the risk tollerance is pretty low.
