After two years I’m still blown away by the amount of people who take on extreme risk, against all odds and then bemoan when it doesn’t turn out how they expected. It’s the equivalent of what someone go to Vegas and play roulette only to whine every time the number they bet on doesn’t come up and insist the game is rigged against them. No one is forcing you to only invest in the riskiest positions possible. But the same mentality that says it’s not worth investing if I can’t 100x is what leads to losses. As an occasional gambler and roulette player I enjoy taking risks myself, but I don’t pretend the world is unfair if I lose. So take some responsibility, actually evaluate your risk tolerance and realize if your position is based around an obscure technical play that requires precision timing, you more than likely will not come out ahead.
