“In total, by the end of 2021, the federal government had spent $6.82 trillion, up from $6.6 trillion the year before. During that time, it brought in $4.05 trillion, resulting in a deficit of $2.77 trillion”.
Imagine running a business with this kind of deficit. Can America just print more money and issue bonds to cover the debt? Isn't this like kicking the can down the street?
Wouldn't spending an extra $2 trillion than what you receive add to inflation? There's more money circulating. How does this affect the economy?
