Target, CVS, Walmart, and others have all claimed shoplifting is wreaking havoc on their bottom dollar. Is shoplifting really that prevelant or are these companies losing profits and blaming it on shoplifters as scapegoats?
I am a Target shareholder and I'm just curious if shoplifting is THAT bad for these companies to justify closing stores.
