Is filing an 8-K a death knell for a company?

I am not a stock person, nor do I pretend to be. I am slowly building my understanding of the stock market and am looking at trend data.

If a company has been losing value of their stock for years, then they file an 8-k does that mean they are about to go bankrupt?
