Is AMD really a buy?

Everyone is talking about AMD with its great CEO, the company presented really good results for q1 2022. AMD grabs more and more market share and gives a fight to Intel and Nvidia and even outperforms their products.

But, amd is based on hardware manufacturing and there is not much money in this. The big money is in software, no wonder why Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.. are worth so much. How much is hardware needed? Sure people will keep buying new computers, phones but at a scale that will make amd an enormous company?

Nvidia is also based on hardware but it is also invested pretty deeply in software and they work on making autonomous cars which is a an aspect about the future. But nonetheless I think NVDA is very overpriced. Intel understands that the big money is in software so they move to it.

Also an important note is advertising, amd is a really good alternative to nvidia with attractive prices but is seems nvidia has much more popularity. The people I know have RTX, GTX. Ofc it is like that because nvidia had monopoly on the market for years and will probably change but as i see it, it will take some time.

When I saw the results of q1 I was impressed that they keep growing but I will probably not invest in AMD just because I don't see amd growing very much. Sure they will grow but not to the scale I would desire.

What's your opinion about that?
