So When I was doing some brief research about wealth creation and investing in the stock market etc the advice would often be that you should mostly invest for the long-term mindset and that you should not expect to invest to make money in the short term or go into investing thinking it’s going to be some kind of get rich quick scheme because that kind of impulsive mindset can be bad for making money which I guess I understand.
But personally I feel I want to invest more with short-term goals in mind and quicker returns in mind, to benefit my life quality in in the here and now. rather than exclusively with a focus for the future when I’m like 60 or something I don’t really see the point necessarily and focusing on the future security that far away like, what if you dont make it to that age and die ? And then you pointlessly deprived yourself in the here and now. ?
I feel to much wealth advice can be about not buying coffees or avocados but what is the point in life if you dont have some enjoyment now and again??
Is it ok to approach investing with want short term goals? Is it possible to achieve returns in the short term?
