Intel’s Mobileye confidentially files for U.S. IPO


Looks like Intel is spinning off MobilEye. Looks like it may have been a good investment for Intel since they bought the company for $15.3 billion in 2017. Also, it looks like this is Intel moving to focus on their semi manufacturing core competencies. I wonder if the market is still frothy for self-driving car companies though.

(Reuters) -Intel Corp said on Monday its self-driving car unit, Mobileye, has confidentially filed paperwork for an initial public offering in the United States.

The company did not give more details about the offering, which could value the Israeli unit at more than $50 billion, a source previously told Reuters.
