Is there a defined line as to what is insider trading? Some context: I work in a disease research lab, and over COVID we had 2-3 days of advanced notice of new strains when researching them that might have tanked the market or boost Phizer/Moderna when it was publicly announced by the CDC. I have no actual relation to those companies or the CDC, but stayed far away from any healthcare/biotech stocks anyways. Did I miss out on a payday or did I do a good job in staying legal?
