Need some advice as a newbie. If this is not the right thread for newbies on stocks and such, let me know where should I be heading instead.
I've made a preliminary investing plan. Let me know if you'd change something. I'm operating with 4 figures closer to 10 than 1, just so that you have somewhat of an overview. Also, I'm from Europe.
I'll put 50% of my savings into S&P 500, just cuz it's better than to keep in the bank.
Then I intend to put 2k$ into the stock market. I know it's not a lot, but I'll keep adding every month from my paycheck. I'll put 50% into 2 companies from Top 10, for now I choose Microsoft and Nividia. Also thinking about Amazon, but idk, for now I'll leave it.
Then, I'll put 5-10% into companies with low market cap, that I think (after doing research) may pop off any time soon. I'll treat it as a gamble, as I'm putting the kind of money I can afford to lose.
Then I'll put 10-15% into AI industry company/ies. Haven't decided which one yet tho, haven't made enough research yet.
Then, I'll put remaining 30% into companies or industries I know something about, probably local companies in my country, or EU companies.
I also have a few questions, since I'm a beginner:
- For people living in the EU – what would be the best app/website that has stock market + index funds? That also has worldwide stocks, not only USA stock. Aaand – that doesn't have big fees for each trade, comparing to other websites.
- Can you recommend any source of information about stocks? Of course it's best to do my own research, but I know from experience, that there may be companies or industries I'm not aware of, and it's good to be up to date on things, when investing in stocks.
- Any advice for a newbie? There may be things I don't even know I should be asking about, so if anything pops, let me know. I'll highly appreciate any advice.
