Im 24 and somewhat diversified in my stock portfolio. Its mostly tech stocks, and recently starting buying into lithium stocks (thoughts?). I also have recurring investments into a couple ETFs like Vanguard and S&P, as well as Nasdaq. I plan to contribute $200 or so monthly to these, as my ¨safety net¨ for ultra retirement at 60+, and then using another $300 or so a month for more riskier, high reward stocks that i hope in 15-20 years will see me retired in my 40s comfortably. Im hoping my lithium stocks, and my tech stocks of course, are going to help me get there.
I started investing in 2020, yet have gained a net loss because of the pandemic and tom foolery that has gone on. Yet, I have not sold, and in the past year im up 39% and am learning more and realizing you can make riskier investments without being a total idiot and investing blindly. Now, I research more and try to invest in stocks I think will have genuine impact on the world. (To be honest, the only stock Ive come up with outside of the standard tech stocks have been lithium stocks).
I currently have $37k invested and have another $10k to play around with or use wisely to contribute to this fund.
I just feel a little anxiety over having such a good oppurtinity at my age I really dont want to miss a chance at using the money I have now to set myself up to sit pretty in 15 years.
