If you sell a position with intent to buy something else, do you buy immediately?

So I have a positions in both AMD and NVDA. Over the past few years, AMD has run about 50% of NVDA. I'm looking to exit my AMD position and increase NVDA.

When you sell a stock to move to another, do you sell and immediately buy, or do you sell and wait for an entry in the new stock?

Or do you dca into the new position over the next week or so? I'm not sure which is best.
