If you had $40,000 to invest, where would you put it and why?

I recently deposited $42,500 in cash in my personal portfolio that is ready to be invested. It doesn't have to be immediately, as I'm thinking some better investment opportunities may be a few months in the future with all this talk about a worsening recession. I could be wrong about that though. I've already maxed out my IRA's for the year. I'm looking for aggressive growth without going into things like options/futures.

So far the total value of all my accounts, including cash, is just under $60,000.

This year my personal investment account is up +51.8%, mostly from consumer cyclicals.

My IRA accounts were just opened a few months ago and those are currently only up 0.4% (Directly managed by eTrade for pennies on the dollar)

I'm looking for things to invest in for long term to avoid STCG tax. My stocks that currently offer dividends are all enrolled in DRIP. Dividend stocks would be preferred but aren't a must if they have great growth potential. What are some investments you've found that offer great value and/or great upside potential? I'm open to anything from micro-cap to mega-cap stocks.

My ultimate goal is to accumulate enough wealth over the next 7-10 years to invest into healthy dividend stocks and be able to live off of dividends. (Like I'm sure everyone else and their mother's goal is for their investments)

I'm relatively new to investing and based on what I've seen from this subreddit I'm fully expecting to be met with a lot of sarcasm and hostility, but any constructive input would be greatly appreciated.
