If you can invest in a company why can’t you also do the opposite

If I can invest in 100 shares of MSFT and essentially profit from providing the company/ market with liquidity the opposite should also be possible where they provide you with an illiquidity provision in the form of an out-vestment by effectively selling you 100 shares with their money instead of you buying them with your money. I don't see why this isn't possible.
