If I was to invest 1000-2500 where would the best place for me to invest and what returns could I expect with this amount?

I overall have 20,000 in personal savings, however as folks have stated it's wise to invest what you can live without so I figure it's better to start small.

I'm guessing the most reasonable place for to put my money is in low risk ETFs perhaps? Would be nice to know which specific ETFs would be most ideal.

Heard it's quite important to diversify, split the eggs up so any advice on that would also be helpful.
