After the Jan 2021 fiasco I made Schwab my brokerage and I have my entire portfolio with Schwab. This question was inspired by the SVB situation and seeing Schwab being down 23% in 2 days in response. Just thinking I should be prepared in case of the worst scenario.
What are the risks to my portfolio if Schwab or to make this a bit general Robinhood, Webull, or another brokerage were to fail. Would I be able to just transfer my stocks to another brokerage?
