I thought I could get ahead

Invested my down payment in April to try and “be smart” and grow the money to build a rocket to try and catch runaway home prices. And now I’ve lost 20% of my principal, effectively setting me back 2 years worth of saving. This rocket I was trying to build, blew up in my face. Houses continue to rocket away toward the moon, while stocks are boring into into the earth toward the core
