So idk if i got the dividend or not. On aug 21st i sold 120 calls @ 3 strike. the next day i sold 25 more. totaling 145 call options.
then on Friday i got exercised with 1595 shares.
[1/7.5= 0.1333 or 13%]
13.33% x 1200 = 159.99
13.33% x 250 = 33.32
so i should have made 1643 (1450 + 193) shares if i got the 7.5 dividend, right?
i've also heard you have to buy 2 days before the split. in this case my calls i sold on august 21st should count.
13.33% x 1200 = 159.99 +1200 = 1359 + 250 = 1609 shares is what i should have.
so where does this 1595 come from?????? or am i doing the math wrong?
