true story;
mom has some money invested with a wealth management company. in 2020 during the pandemic, my sister noticed the value of moms invested money with that company had dropped by roughly 80k.my sister then calls me up on the phone,she tells me that the company lost 80k of moms money,i then calmly explain to her that the company did not lose the money.. but that the stock market has been crashing… so that the value of moms account has fallen but that it will eventually go back up when the stock market recovers..which is what happened. but i still dont think she got it… and now i n 2022 the market is falling again.. how can i explain it to her better?
