I'm 26 with a long term strategy of buying simple Fidelity and Vanguard total market funds. I have way too much cash for my life circumstance. Do I…
Go all in and deploy 100% of my cash toward my target allocations?
Buy a set amount weekly or bi-weekly to capture further downtrend while maintaining a cash reserve for any big drops?
Buy government bonds and/or CD ladders to put some of this cash to work in the meantime?
I know the conventional wisdom regarding time in the market vs timing the market. I'm having a hard time taking that approach with all the talk of further decline around the corner… maybe I'm a fool because I am trying to time the market on some level. What would you do?
