im new in stocks investing, started 2 weeks ago with $6000 spread among 12 stocks. i put between 100 and 1000 on each stock. im a seasoned day trader so im good in technical analysis but this is my first time doing stocks investing and i know that it's a bit different from trading. i have some questions:
*how often do you buy new stocks or add to current stocks? i would like to be active in the game about once a month at least, meaning to buy new positions once a month
*how long do you hold for on average? for me i would like holding 3 months up a to 2 years. not really interested in holding 5 years like some people do, unless i really think its gonna keep going up that long
*i have $20,000 that i don't need so i was thinking to put it all in stocks over the next month or so. should i put about 1000 on each stock, or more on some stocks than others? i have seen portfolios where people put say 20-40% of their portfolio in one stock only. why is that? is it because they feel more confident on that particular stock? or is it to do with the current stock price (meaning, put more money in cheaper stock, and less money in more expensive stocks)? i really have no idea on this
