Are there restrictions as to how much of the float a firm can own?
Or is it specified by each firm as to generally what % of the float they want to accumulate when they begin buying a company?
Talking about Berkshire and Apple. I heard some where that an institution is only allowed by the SEC to own a limited % of a company's shares. So I was thinking that due to these rules, Berk was forced to offload some of their position because they knew AAPL was going to be doing such a massive buy back.
