How long do stocks stay undervalued?

The idea of value investing is buying in when a stock is low. Will the market automatically correct the stock shares so that the value matches more towards its intrinsic value?

What if the undervalued stock just stays undervalued (assuming that the valuations were correct, the company is doing fine). Big value investors like Buffet and Lynch buy into value stocks that aren't very popular or well known at all. How do those obscure undervalued stocks regain value? Thanks!
