I made a sale this morning. Vanguard says I still have 0 to buy new stocks. I calculated how much the sale would give me and want to use that same amount to buy KR before their earnings release. When I try to do that vanguard gives me this warning message “This purchase exceeds the current funds available balance. Funds are due in your settlement fund by the settlement date of the trade. Otherwise, securities in the account may be liquidated to pay for the purchase, and the account may be restricted”. Do I ignore it and buy or do I need to wait a certain amount of time?
