Young and dumb with regards to stocks, so please forgive the noob question, but I have a personal portfolio that I DCA into every month. Nothing crazy, just some domestic and international index funds. However, if I work for a company that is a part of the S&P 500 and offers me RSUs that vest annually, how does my personal portfolio get affected with regards to insider trading issues? Am I no longer allowed to buy/sell index fund stocks that include my company or does that limitation only apply to direct shares of the company?
